Constructive
features and usage of the machine.
Airdrome
plow-brush machine BS-4000PB consists of automobile chassis MAZ-543403-220R
with mounting and towing set of equipment.
The usage of BS-4000PB can be possible in
following configuration:

As
a plow-brush machine in a compound of a towing vehicle (with blade) and semitrailer
(with brush), for a complex clearing of surface of runways and aprons.
·
As
a plow machine in a compound of a towing vehicle with a blade without a
semitrailer. It is reasonable to use it for clearing aprons from snow, taxiways,
runway exits, local allies with high agility.
·
As
a brush machine (without blade, whole-year)
·
With
blades of different types and sizes. The blade is easy to remove. The removed
blade can be kept directly near the runway and the apron, what can be useful to
drive the machine from the unit to the place of storage and maintenance. Also
there is a possibility to remove the peel and leave the rotating and lifting
gear attached to the transitional fixed workbench on MAZ chassis. It gives an opportunity
of having several peels of different dimensions and configurations. For
example, you can have a peel

Semitrailer,
detached from the chassis can be supplied in a standard automobile box for servicing.
After removing the management console from the cab of the towing vehicle and
linking up with the connector in the BS-4000PBA frame, you can do the engine
startup, rotating, lifting and lowering of the brush. Semitrailer can be
attached with any other automobile chassis with installing the control console
via the cab extender and perform clearing works of the airdrome surfaces with
the brush if usage of blade is not necessary (summer, low season).
In whole series of BS-4000 compulsory demands
are realized:

automobile pillar of the semitrailer. Setting of the height – hand-driven with reducer;

Presence
of emergency wheel and lowering gear with hydraulic drive in a chassis compound

Comfortable
servicing of the back bay with the equipment engine, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic
reservoir, filters and electrical equipment. Complete opening of the hood and open
access to all aggregates is provided.

In the construction of BS-4000PB is laying a coincidence
principle of exploitation time of both of the engines in the compound of

MAZ-543403-220R the heater PZHD-30 is used. In unification aims for the
backside engine PZHD-30 is also used. The preparation time for towing vehicle

Chassis
A modification of series log carriage MAZ-5434
is used. The brand of the dedicated chassis is MAZ-543403-220R. It is built in
conformity with technical requirements ¹122, accommodated with SUE “MAZ” for
compound of BS-4000PB and PBA usage.
Wheel arrangement is 4x4. YAMZ-236BE2 engine
with 250hp power, EURO-2(3).

The cab is optional equipped with console for
control over all operative parts of BS-4000PB. Also there is a system of
acoustical and visual emergency alerting in case of obtaining maximum
permissible values of temperature, pressure, fluid levels and others. In
compound of towing vehicle there is a storage bay, tool kit, spanners and other
necessary equipment for exploitation.
